Technical, Information Technology and Media Team
Responsible for maintaining the church’s website and all audio- visual production materials .The media department produces advert materials for the church. Recordings of services, production of print and electronic publication literature is done by the team in this department. Setting up all the church equipments, recording messages during services, getting the right audio quality from the speakers or a clear picture from the monitors are parts of the tasks performed by team members.
Welfare and Visitation Team
"And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.“ Acts 15: 36.
The objective of this department is to minister to the needs of people, provide practical support for members within the church who require help and assistance in specific areas. As a family focused church, we are committed to caring for the welfare and well-being of our members who are vulnerable, in need or weak including widows, single mothers and vulnerable children. The department actively seeks resources and support from within members so that it makes provisions for those needing help and assistance within the church.
Music Department
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name “Ps 100:4”
The music department is made up of the choir known as “The Glorious Voices” and the instrumentalists. They are responsible for providing music in times of praise, worship and music ministrations. Rehearsals take place once a week, but are more frequent when there are upcoming special events. This provides an opportunity for members of the department to pray together, share new songs and rehearse for upcoming presentations.
VIP & Follow-up Department
This department is responsible for counselling new converts that is, those who have just surrendered their lives to Christ when an altar call is made, or those who previously surrendered their lives but have backslidden. The department is also responsible for running the new converts classes, and following up of such new converts. The convert’s classes run over the 4 weeks immediately after the conversion.
Counselling Department
Glory centre is a family-based and family loving church. This Department support the structure of the family and prevent it from crumbling through counselling members who have one problem or the other that needs mediation, as well as those who are engaged towards their wedding day and beyond. They guide them prayerfully through courtship, and pray with them towards the success of their wedding. The ministry continues to monitor and support them until full maturity in marriage.
Evangelism Group
“And he said unto them, Go ye into the entire world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16: 15. “... Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" 1 Cor. 9: 16.
All Christians have a mandate to preach the gospel to all nations. As a church, in order to do this effectively, there is a dedicated team of men and women of God who make up the evangelism team with the responsibility for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone as well as making disciples of the saved. They go out to town centres, shopping malls, and the neighbourhood to preach the word of God and the salvation message. Members of the team also advertise the church and its programs with leaflets, flyers and handbills.
Intercessory Prayer Group:
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; "1 Tim. 2 v 1.
The intercessory group provides spiritual support by praying and interceding for the continued success and needs of the church, its members, ministers, the unsaved and any other needs that may arise. They pray towards the success of every service as well as for harvests of souls. The members of this group spend the first three days of every month in fasting and praying and also lead in prayers at the beginning of every service. They hold bi-monthly retreats to build each other up spiritually. The Prayer team are available at the end of services to pray with anyone in need of a short period of prayer.
Deliverance Team
Forms a part of the intercessory group with responsibility for engaging in deliverance services for individuals requiring this service.
Obadiah 1:17 say, "But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions."
Joel 2:32 says, " And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call."
Matthew 10:1 says, “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”
Ushering Department
Ushers welcome new comers (at first attendance) within the church. By virtue of their role, members are required to be knowledgeable about the programmes, events and service times of the church. Ushers are expected to provide requested events and program information to members of the congregation. The department is tasked with keeping and maintaining order within the church during service; directing people to appropriate seating areas; attending to enquiries and request for directions from the congregation during church services, distributing information leaflets, offering envelopes, and other materials as required and also collecting offerings
Bible Teaching Department:
Team members are responsible for the Sunday school and weekly bible teaching programmes of the church, they provide teaching manuals and organize all bible teaching and training programs, including bible courses and seminars. The ministry is headed by a minister-in-charge, closely working with the set man of God. Members gather together and produce teaching materials for all courses run in the ministry.
Protocol and Hospitality
This team provides high levels of service to all members and visitors, especially during special program events and conferences. They are in charge of the welfare of guest ministers, from arrival to departure. They can be given extra duties at any time, at the discretion of the Pastor. They also ensure that issues that may potentially cause a rift or crisis in the church are swiftly brought under control before they escalate. The department also takes charge of the social aspect of entertainment for church members including provision of refreshments and snacks for pastors, ministers, and guests as the need arises. The department also provides snacks and celebration cakes on “Thanksgiving Sundays,” which is every last Sunday of the month. In support of the family-friendly structure of the church, this is when members born in a particular month, and those who got married in that month, come out to celebrate and be prayed for.
Church Care and Decoration Team
The team ensures that church premises are kept clean at all times. Working behind the scenes, they ensure that the environment is always clean and free of contamination at all times. They see to the arrangement of the chairs and other bits and pieces needed for every service. They also decorate the altar, other parts of the church and change such decorations from time to time. After each service, they clean the church premises again before leaving for home.
Treasury:
This group is responsible for all revenue that comes into the church. Including donations in form of tithes, offerings and giving of various types, which must be properly collated and accounted for and paid into the church’s bank account. The treasury department is regularly inspected by both internal and external auditors, to ensure proper accountability.
The Drama Team:
The drama team ministers God’s word in drama. Their presentations will carry out messages fashioned after the theme of the month or the theme for the monthly night vigil as necessary. The group will meet once a week, but rehearsals may be more frequent when there is an upcoming event.
